There are dozens of proprietary diamond cuts on the market with extra facets, but diamonds with extra facets don't necessarily make a better diamond. Unlike the Kessler 81TM, they come up short in one area or another. Most of these extra faceted diamonds allow cutters to market stones that are cut for increased weight retention rather than for maximum beauty.

The Difference

This leads to one of the most important differences between our diamond and many of the other alternative diamonds with extra faceting.

The Road Goes Through Israel

Once a diamond has been selected, it is then shipped to Netanya, Israel where master cutter Moses Hodara, who developed this cut, personally oversees the process that turns it into a Kessler 81TM. Moses has been cutting diamonds for forty-three years and is legendary in Netanya, “The City of Diamonds.” Moses always believed that conventional cutting just wasn’t capable of freeing the last of the fire that nature locked away in diamond crystals millions of years ago. So his life has been one long quest to find the secret key that would unlock that primordial fire. In developing the Kessler 81TM, Moses found the key. And with it, he transforms the extraordinary into the incomparable.

The Princess Cut Fully Developed - The Kessler Princess

Because the supply of properly proportioned princess cuts is so limited, we decided to develop our own variation and have it cut to our exact specifications. We spent more than a year in development working with computer models, and cut dozens of diamonds carefully fine-tuning every aspect of this diamond to fully maximize its performance and beauty. Along the way we decided to bevel the corners in order to give the diamond better wearability since sharp points on a diamond are prone to chipping or breaking during the stone setting process or with normal wear. The result of all our efforts is the breathtaking Kessler Princess. It’s the princess cut Richard Kessler is proud to call his own, and once you see it, we think you’ll feel the same.
